How to gain weight in 1 week?

Overview

People who are overweight go through many different stages and emotional ups and downs to lose excess pounds and get into shape. But there are a number of people who want to do the opposite and gain fat. In order to lose weight, you need to be focused, dedicated and willing to make some lifestyle adjustments. The game plan to get more fat in a week takes the same effort, but the rules are different.

Step 1

Eat two or three big meals a day. When you eat a meal, your body burns some of the calories for energy and the rest are stored as fat. Eating small, frequent meals elevates your metabolism and causes you to lose weight. To reverse this process, eat huge meals and spread them far apart. Your metabolism will slow down and your body will hold on to stored fat for energy because it doesn't know when it is going to get fed again.

Step 2

Eat foods that slow down your metabolism. Foods that are high in fat, sodium and sugar should make up all of your calories. Examples of these are whole-fat dairy products, eggs, processed meats, deep fried foods, cakes, cookies, pies, muffins, candy, chips, commercial baked goods and fast food. Make sure to eat at least one fast food meal a day.

Step 3

Drink high-calorie beverages. Water has no calories and it boosts metabolism. If you want to get more fat in one week, avoid this and any other calorie-free beverage. Drink beverages like soda, fruit juice, sweetened teas, milk shakes, flavored lattes with extra whipped cream and alcohol. Drink these beverages with your meals and between them.

Step 4

Cut down on your fiber. Fiber is a non-digestible substance that helps fill you up and prevents you from overeating. Avoid high amounts of foods that are high in fiber like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans so you can eat more calories.

Step 5

Eat right before you go to bed every night. During the night, your metabolism slows way down and your body is not very efficient at burning calories. Take advantage of this by eating a high calorie meal right before you go to sleep.

Step 6

Avoid exercise at all costs. Exercise is known for the many benefits it can offer the body. Weight loss is one of them. If you want to get fat in one week, do not perform any type of exercise any day of the week. Also, be as inactive and immobile as possible with your daily activities.

Tips and Warnings

If you want to take a healthy path to gain fat, eat high amounts of lean meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, whole grans and beans.
